"This cheap, colourful Indian serving authentic-tasting southern cuisine is one of Newport's best (which, given the suburb's burgeoning reputation for quality eating, is saying something). As always with south Indian, vegetarians are very well catered for. Indeed, the piping hot, delicious mushroom sizzler with garlic and coriander $8.90 is a standout among the entrees. But there's also a dependable group of lamb, chicken and seafood options (mostly around $15), including perhaps the restaurant's must-have, jayara fish curry $16.90. The fun and recently renovated upstairs area is popular with groups."
